A cool website for keeping up to date on the local art scene.
My current guilty pleasure...
The Samaritan Inn, Collin Countys only homeless shelter.

John Wynn opened the McKinney Guitar Studio in January of 2000. He specializes in fingerstyle guitar and is active as a writer, performer and teacher. Originally from north Florida, he relocated to Texas in the fall of 1989. Since that time he has recorded several cds and written instructional materials for the aspiring guitarist. His studio sponsors concerts that feature artists from around the country and also provides scholarship funding to many young musicians around the McKinney area.

This is one of my favorite museums in Paris. I am often inspired by the architectural elements in Gustave Moreau's paintings.
This chateau was the inspiration for several of my paintings in the Doors in Villages exhibition. Take a trip there for a truly unique experience in a remote part of France. It provides a true castle lodging experience. Do splurge on a dinner at the Chateau Trigance if you make the trip. The dinner I had there is on my top ten best meals ever life list.
Saint Emilion is one of my favorite villages in France and another inspiration for several paintings in the "Doors in Villages" exhibition. If you plan a trip, my favorite time there is mid September.
This is another interesting website for Saint Emilion details.
Brush up on your french and read about Roussillon, an incredible village in Provence where 17 shades of ocher occur naturally in the soil. This is yet another inspiration for my "Doors in Villages" exhibition.
Greece is one of my favorite destinations. Every greek island is on my life time travel list. So far, I've hit Rhodes, Symi, Mykonos and Santorini. I've still got a few to go! If you go to Symi, I recommend the 4 days of guided hiking with "hurricane" Hugo Tyler.
Chateau Chenonceau was featured on my "Doors in Villages" exhibition cards. The chateau was built on top of a bridge that spans the river Cher. In my watercolor painting of the chateau I featured the side view of the chateau where its unique green doors reside. This is a must see chateau if/when you visit the Loire Valley in France. I especially like its gigantic country kitchen and the parquet floors that span the river.
